Why Weekly Service Matters More in New Braunfels
Summer highs here regularly climb into the mid-90s°F, and that heat breaks down chlorine faster than in milder climates. Skip a week during peak season, and a fine-looking pool can turn green within days. On top of that, our water is naturally hard, sourced from the Edwards Aquifer, which means calcium hardness needs the same regular attention as chlorine and pH. Weekly service here isn’t just a convenience — it’s what actually keeps ahead of both problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s a normal pool cleaning routine for a new pool owner?
A normal routine includes skimming the surface daily, brushing and vacuuming walls weekly, testing water chemistry every week, and backwashing the filter monthly. Summer heat may require more frequent chemical checks to prevent algae growth.
How often should the pool guy actually come?
Weekly service is standard for most New Braunfels pools during peak season, since Texas heat accelerates algae growth and chemical breakdown. Smaller or lower-use pools may only need biweekly visits.
Is 5-15 minutes normal for a pool service visit?
No, a proper pool service visit should take longer than 5-15 minutes. A thorough visit includes full water chemistry testing, skimming, brushing, and basket cleaning — tasks that require real time to complete correctly.
